Wilts Backstops Team to a Tie
The Blyth Atom LL team travelled to Teeswater on November 15th. The team started out slow, but found some energy to play the game.
Teeswater would open the scoring in the first with a goal at the 8.36 mark. The remainder of the first period would see action go from end to end with several chances by both teams. Goalie Wilts would make several key saves to keep his team in the game.
The second period would remain scoreless as well with good saves made by both teams. With the clock ticking down, Blyth's Drew VanWyk, would pick up the puck at the blueline, skate in unassisted and bury one for his team to tie the game at 1.
Both team's goalies would then shut the door on all final shots to keep the score tied.
Blyth's next home game is Monday, November 23, at 6.30 p.m.
