Midget LL - Bulldogs host Drayton
Submitted By Betty Popp on Saturday, February 06, 2010
It was end to end action when the Blyth Midget LL hosted Drayton in Brussels on Sunday, January 31st.

Brendan Stretton opened up the scoring with the only goal in the first unassisted.  Drayton got one early in the second period before Connor Prescott scored, assisted by Ryan Sjaarda and Aaron Popp.  With less than a minute left in the second period, Drayton scored to tie the game.  Drayton scored again in the third before Jordan Bakelaar hit the back of the net, assisted by Prescott.  Stretton then scored his second of the game assisted by John Lecomte.  Drayton would again tie the game up.  Despite many chances for both teams, the score ended at a 4-4 tie.

Great efforts where put forward by this team over the regular season and they are looking forward to an exciting playoffs.

Thanks to Calvin Bakelaar, Mark Sjaarda, Kendra and Dan Prescott for taking the time and doing the job as bench staff for our team.

As Red Green says "Keep your stick on the ice".
